‘Dear Private Naikin:

I am sorry that I have failed to answer your letter written .
me in Pebruary. It so happens that I am secretary of the local
Selective Service Board, and at the time you wrote I had charge
of the County Red Cross War Fumd drive, together with my basket-
ball and duties indident to heading up the Department of Physical
Edusation aswell as teaching classes - so I was kept more than
busy e

Every few days I would think that I would have time to sit down
and write you a resume cn your suggestions. Now since the basket-
ball rules committee has met, I presume there is no added ineentive
for you to reseive comments from me on the effeat of these rules on
the game.
