Dear Dr. Allen:

This letter is being written on the chance that
there might be a need for another instructor in your
department for the summer session.

I have recently been commissioned as a physical
instructor in the Navy and have just been informed that
I will not be called to active duty until August 5th.
Having established my family in Emporia for the duration,
I am interested in obtaining employment until time to re-
port to Chapel Hill.

My qualifications includeca Master's degree
from the University of Iowa in addition to twelve years
experience in teaching and administration in physical
education. I hold a water safety instructor's rating
in the Red Cross and have had extensive experience in
teaching allftforms of swimming and lifesaving. Henry

wish regarding personal qualifications.
