Dear Sir:

I am studying feature writing through the correspond-
ence bureau of the University of Kansas. I am doing some
research for an article on the merits of walking.

At the present time it seams patriotic for us to "pet
back on our feet again" whenever possible. I believe that
it will not only help in winning the war for us to do that
but that there will be a great physical and psychological
benefit derived. I have heard people who live but a few
blocks from their work renark "Believe you me, I'M planning
to stay on wheels”.

May I have from you a statement for use in ny article
of your opinion of the salutary effects to be derived by
the American people if they will get out in the open and
"hoof it" awhile? : |
