My dear Mr. Allen:

I want to thank you for your interest in Robert and for
the ._ recommendation that you gave him. I found that
your backing has been instrumental in getting him anne
Gene Tunney's group.

There were about 200 in Kansas City for the examination
and Robert is very fortunate to be one of the twenty-five
selected. He is very happy about it and I am sure will
make good. Of course these eight weeks of training will
be very severe but he was pronounced perfect physically
so I am sure he can take it.
