Mre Se ©, Hudson, 617 Camaros Bldgs, Kansas City, Moe Dear Friend Hudson: Answering yow inquiry of the 9th instant, I beg to state that the Modern Woodmen of America team was composed of Cedric Dickinson, center, William "Punch" O'Brien, manager, Harry Allen, forward, Alma White, guard, Lewis Kraas, forward, Albert Barnhardt, guard, Bnil Helff, for- ward, Lambert Dick, forward, Oliver Sheley, guard, Earl Humphrey, forward, and John McClure, guard. This team defeated the Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, team in a series of two ganes out d three in Independence, Mo. Independence won the first game, 22 to 17, the second one 18 to 16, and the third contest was won by Fond du Lac 25 to 18. The games were played in the old Reardon Livery Stable hall. Later Compton Brothers hed the place and I do not know whether the building is now standing or not, but it was on North Liberty Street. This was before I played on the team at Independence, Soe a ee practically all of ow gemes. And later I was player and er of the Kansas City Athletic Club team when we defeated Germans, of Buffalo, New York, for the so-called movdd wacsstautiie te tunnel Gx tx ace, 1905. The Buffalo Germans won the first game, 40 to 36; we won the en a ee game as the first two games had worked out very unsatisfsctor- ily with each team having one of the officials in the gane.
