My dear Bill:

Thank you very much for sending me the clipping
from the Independence Examiner. It is very interesting
to read the activities of the old timers when they
organized the Independence Athletic Club in 1694, and
om up through the time that Independence took her place
in the basketball world.

Yes, I remember all of the incidents that you
bring forth in your letter. I remember that shot that
Pete made from one end of the cow't to the other.

Pete is now commandant of the R.0.T.C. at Stanford
University, Stanford, California. He would be happy to
hear from you, I know. Why don't you drop him a line?

I had the pleasure of seeing your good mother at
the homecoming at the Methodist Church this- past fall.
She looked well and happy. 1 also saw your good wife.
