Dear Superintendent Hendricksons

In going through some old mail I discovered your
letter dated April 23, 1940. You will recall that I had the
_ National Collegiate Basketball Tournament to handle in Kansas City,
both the Western and the Finale, end our team happened to be in
it, so with the rush of things and the close of school, your .
letter became lost in the file. I owe you an apology, but the
best way to face the cituation is to be utterly frank.
