I will guarantee that this is the lowest salary paid to any Varsity basketball coach in the United States. Therefore, I feel that it would not be an unjust burden on the Athletic ee _ to make this adjustment. However, the Athletic Board meets ie i eat the Chancellor has access, of course, to both Boards. . I do not want to put the Chaneelles on the spot and would not embarrass him for one moment, but I do feel that wmtil this matter is taken up and cared for in the way that the Board of Regents and Chancellor Mllott's predecessor agreed, that I have not been treated with the fairness that | should be accorded a member of the faculty who has gone on and done his job, regardless of the failure of people in authority to consummtes — I am sending you @ carbon copy of the letter that Chancel ler Lindley wrote me so you can see that it is umistalmble as wo wns Ce intent and purpose of the letter wase I deeply appreciate your friendship and please rest seccted that regardless of how this comes out there will be no moaning at the bars With all good wishes, I am, Sincerely yours, Director of Physical “dyeation and Recreation Varsity Basketball and Baseball Coach FOArig.
