Allen Department of Physical Education Dear Dr. Allen: Under the plan proposed jointly by the Committee on New Students and the Committee on Vocational Guidance, and approved by the University Senate, Thursday, September 11, 1941, has been set aside for Vocational Guidance conferences. As indicated by the enclosed "Prosram for New Students", these conferences will precede registration and enrollment, It is essential that each department affected by this program arrange to have one or more faculty members available at the department office for consultation with new students between 9 a.m. and 12 noon, and between 1:30 and 5 p.m. Mr. E. R. Elbel expressed his willingness to participate in individual or group conferences held during the year 1940-41. lIlay we sugcest that Mr. Hlbel or other members of your department be designated for this New Student week conference? Will you kindly notify Mr. James K. Hitt, Assistant Registrar, as to the department members so assigned so that he can prepare a printed list for distribution not later than July 25th, 1941?
