Dear Doc,

I am writing you in regard to the small col-
lege All-Star football poll which takes place each
fall, and I would like some help if you feel that
you have time and wish to help me.

My name has been placed on this poll, and I
would like very much to get elected (through votes)
to a place upon this team. They play in Chicago in
September, and those lucky enough to get to go
set $150, an "All-American" sweater, a blanket,
game suit, and exnenses. These benefits would go
a long way toward helping me alleviate my school
obligations, besides aiding me materially in getting
a job teaching and coaching. These ballots come
out soon and are due in July, so if there is any-
thing you feel you can do for me, I would consider
it a great favor.

I ask you for this help because of our friend-
ship, and because I know vou can do much for me,
