mentioned, after which we took the liberty of inserting
the phrase "who was trained as an osteopathic physician."
We realize, of course, that you might not care to have
this fact mentioned in the article, so have sent it to you
to read. We will appreciate hearing from you at your ear-
liest convenience as to whether we can let it stand as it is

: Bob Bushy carried a story regarding a statement alleged
to you that I stated I was going after the gold next year. Of

Dill Meneypemay spoke to me last Saturday morning in
_ Lawrence regarding a gane with Soutimestem. I told Bill thet
they had perhaps cut down on our schedule fron 20 to 18 games, :
and if that wis the case I would naturally want to play the gones _
that would net the athletic association a good returns Understand
that neither the coach nor the team derive any benefit from a good

game that would my a good gate. It is the same proposition as a
sport writer writing sports for a per that would decidedly pay

believe that our work is the better appreciated.

We are not barnstomaing or looking for pots of gold, but
naturally we will play Oklehoasa Aggies at eac place, and we have
two games with the thiversity of Tams to be played in Lawrences
Vie may go East, and since it costs a good deal to travel we would
naturelly went a gate large enough to pay exponsese Our Okiehana
Aggie game at Stillwmter paid us a thousand dollars at the gate.
Since our conference guaremtee for all games is $400, you can
readily appreciate that there are many places where guerantecs of
$400 to $600 with an option are not wiconmon. : ,

However, I desire to state to you that it has not been our

other courses that are being offered this Summer in the Depart-
ment of Physical Education which I appreciate very much.

You have made my work at the University very enjoyable.
Your invitation to return is also appreciated and I am planning
to be there.

For your information, it is understood that Concordia
High School, Corcordia, Kansas, is looking for someone to
teach Physical Education, Coach football, and assist with
other sports. Of course,it is essential that you recommend
graduates of Kansas University when the opportunity arises.
If, however, you do not have any graduate that is interested
in the Concordia vacancy, a recommendation from you would
raise my chances considerable.

My application has been sent in and I have had a personal
interview. In regard to my qualifications, I have fifteen
hours credit in Physical Education at Washburn in addition
to those I have completed at Kansas Univemity.If everything
goes right, I expect to finish work on a Masters Degree.
