THE UNIVERSITY OF NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND ATHLETICS LINCOLN DIVISION OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION FOR MEN . April 7, 1969 Dr. Forrest C. Alien, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansas. - My dear Dr. Allen: Your favor of March 50th has been duly received. The maintenance of facilities for the particular activities you mentioned comes largely from funds which are handled by Mr. John Selleck or from Athletic Funds, all of which pass through his hands and, therefore, I am turning your communication over to him with a request that he reply to the seme. We have a general maintenance fund of $1200 for work on the city campus for Physical Education for Men and a similar fund of $600 for work on the © Agricultual College Campus, but only a comparatively small part of these funds are used for the maintenance of the activities men- tioned above and none in connection with the majority of these activities. I doubt if the apita cost of maintenance of facilities for each of the activities you have mentioned is avail- able because of the fact that so much of the use of these activities is free, unsupervised participation but Mr. Selleck can certainly give you much more information than I can. Very sincerely yours, PELE GLSk Re Ge Clapp, Me De Professor of Physical Education and Chairman Division of Physical Education for Men RGC/ef j
