Dear Dr. Allen: I received your letter some time ago and I have been intending to write and let you know how we are getting along. So far I have enjoyed my work here at Sabetha and we also like the town and the people. I manage to keep busy and it earns pee See RPE PSP A NO ae : —- ia seems as though there is always something to do. You asked about Fred Wrightman, Dr. Wrightman's son. At present he is attending the University of Missouri and is taking Journalism. At the close of the football season the Chamber of Commerce gave the boys a banquet. E. C. Quigley, who was the speaker, gave a very interesting talk. During a football season we won five games, lost four, and tied one and finished third in conference play. So far in basketball we have won two and lost one. I had over forty boys report for basketball so I cut the squad to twenty and have practice, twice a week at night for those who were cut from the squad, -I had hoped to get down to Lawrence to see a game but I notice we have games on the same nights, so will not be able to get down. If you ever come up this way we will be sted to have you stop. Wishing you a lot of luck. Sincerely yours, Sloth Paniew/
