S. R. HURLE 2400 STATE AVENUE KANSAS CITY, KANSAS October 4, 19359 Drs BF. Ge Allen Tniversity of Kansas Tawrence, Kansas Dear pr. Allen, When I was in Lawrence on a recent | Saturday, I found you too busy to be disturbed. It doesn!t look now as if I can make it to Lawrence again for some time, but this is what I had on my mind. Rumors have reached me that Mr. Allphin will probably not return to K. U. next year. Is there any basis for the rumor? Tf it is true, I am wonderéng if, in any way, I might fit into the picture? My work here in Kansas City has been very pleasant, but IT am anxious to get into college work. In view of this desired change, I have enrolled in Stanford's Appointment bureau, specifying positions of junior college or college level. Will you please fill ont the enclosed form and mail it to them? Thanks. Shab, Nhl. S. R. Hukle
