Dear Doe:

It is my turn to beg your pardon for the delay in answering
your letter, but I have been out of town for the past week
or so.

I am sending your letter to Mansfield and will let him follow
through from that angle. 1 want to thank you for your interest
and help, and believe that he will make someone a good hand in
as much as it is my belief that youngsters today go to school
at too early an age. I know that you will give him the best

of cooperation if he should decide to go to Kansas, and per-
sonally, I believe he has a leaning towards this part of the
country.

Please say "hello" to Mrs. Allen for me and give my best J
regards to Mike. Again, thank you for yor interest in
this matter.
