UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS LAWRENCE DEPARTMENT OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION April 14, 1939 6 Mre Robert C. Hickson, 408 Avenue “A", Elk City, Oklahanee Dear Bobby: I was very happy to have your letter of the 13th instant, and I assure you nothing would give the Allens more pleasure than to see you return to Lawrencé.e Answering your inquiry, I might state that the proper person to write to would be Mr. Gwim Henry, Dir- ector of Athletics, University of Kansas. However, I might also state that Mre Earl Falkenstien, who was secured from the Lawrence National Bank some ten years ago, is the financial secretary and is definitely entrenched in this position. In my opinion he is doing one of the best jobs that it is possible to doe Should there be an opening I am sure that you could count on my giving you a fine recommendation. However, Mre Falkenstien is active in the civic life of the cannunity end he numbers his friends by legione He is a particularly conscientious and hard-working individual, as well as being highly efficient. At the present time, Bobby, I do not see any openinge Mre Falkenstien has as his secretary Mrse Imogene Webster, and when the ticket sales come on in the fall and winter he employs same available student help. So the job is not large enough for another individual, and at the present time it is being taken care of in a highly efficient manner. If at any time an opening should occur I will be happy to communicate with yous I will be sure to inform Mrs, Allen and the rest of the Allens that I got this nice letter from you, and you can rest assured of my full cooperation should an opening arise. With ell good wishes, I em ° ctor of/ Physical Education, FCA: AH Varsity—Badsketball @oache
