INCORPORATED -1872 WESTERN DEPARTMENT HARRISON BROS. 310 SOUTH MICHIGAN AVENUE INSURANCE CHICAGO STATE BANK OF DOWNS Downs, KANSAS February 27, 1939. Dear "Phog." :— Just a note to thank you for the very good seats you secured for us for the K U - Oklahoma game Saturday night. We all enjoyed our visit while in Lawrence and the boys thought everyone they met about the friendliest people they ever came in contact with. _ Their general’ treatment and the basketball game just naturally settled things as far as where they will attend School next Fall. They both said they had the most pleasant week-end they had ever spent. Your talk to the boys wherein you stressed the fact that K U was not a snap in any respect helped sell them a lot. Hall said he believed you mold the truth in everything you said whereas so many Coaches and students try to convince him that their Schools are "nie" for a chap like him. Hall likes the plain facts and hates to be made over and the treatment of everyone down there was just oneperfect week-end to him. I am enclosing a Portis Paper ( or rather mailing one under separate cover) to show what J.E.Kissell, Editor and one of the oldest and keenest basketball fans in this whole territory thinks of Hall as a player. If you wish I will send you the dope on his play in the District and Regional Tournaments. Again thanking you for your courtesies, and with best wishes for the Missouri finale, + an, Sincerely Yours, Ute Ae :
