I, as a brother, could not, of course, bring home the facts to him as forcefully and as ably as you have, and I certainly want to thank you for your time and efforts in his behalf. I wrote Mansfield after receiving your letter and told him that since he had already had one chance for the easy way, perhaps it was time to try it the hard way, therefore it would be strictly up to him what he wants to do.
