Dear Dr. Allen,

I have followed the progress of your basket ball team with
great interest and it looks like you have the Big Six championship
in the bag. I am sure that Jim would have liked to have finished
the season with you, however. he is getting to play quite often
down at Keesler Field, Miss. He qualified as a radio gunner in
the Air Corp but has asked for a transfer to the Paratroops.

I wovld like to ask a fa¥or of you, if it is not too mech
trouble I would like to have all the copies of the 1944-45
Jayhawker, also any pictures you might have taken of Jim for
the basketball team. If you can do ae and send me the bill
