THE UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS 1} LAWRENCE OFFICE OF THE ar a August 12, 1937. ‘ Dr. Forrest C. Aller, Morningside Coaching School, Spirit Lake, Iowa. Dear Dr. Allen: I do not wish to hurry you in the selection of a secretary for the Department of Physical Education, and hope you will not feel I am too presumptuous in writing you at this time about my application. There is another position open here at the University which I have been asked to fill, and I do not wish to keep them waiting for my decision more than a few days. Although this job is some- what less desirable to me than the work in your department would be, I do not feel I can let any- thing slip by if I am unable to secure the work with you. Frankly, I hope I may fill the qualifi- cations necessary for the position in your office and that I may hear favorably from you. I have hesitated writing you while you are so busy, but I am sure you will understand why I have taken the liberty to do so. I am "pinch-hitting" for the girls in the Chancellor's Office for a couple of weeks while they are on vacation. It seems almost as if I had just returned from a vacation and was back at work for another year. With best wishes, I am Sincerely yours, Mrs. A. Geo. Hulteen, 1706 Learnard Ave., Lawrence, Kansas.
