University of Kansas Lawrence, Kausas Dear "Phog":- I listened to the Missouri game over the radio and certainly enjoyed the drubbing they received. I imagine I got about as much kick out of Pralle's last goal as many of the spectators TOO. You are indeed to be complimented on the showing you made this year, It was much better than the general run of the kK. U. followers anticiptated,. Say, can't you get the Nebraska boys to throw at least a bushel of apples at the K. U. football staff early in the Nebraska football game this fall? I'll be glad to buy the apples if the effect would. produce. Sincerely iste Feuruary 21, 1958. Dear Dr. Allen: Please accept my thanks for your letter of March 30, 1938 in regard to treatment of athletes — Loote ‘ We plan to follow your method of treatment and I believe that we can wipe it out of our school. Our dressing and shower rooms are hight dry and clean. With the aid of your suggestions I believe that we can prevent future cases. Pearce, has a husband who is afflicted with a lame beck. He has been to several doctors here and in other towns, has visited chirporacters, and has been to several health resorts in an attempt to cure the lameness. All doctors have advised him there is nothing wrong with the joints in his back, and X-rays feil to reveal any other possible defects. His back bothers hifi a great deal and Bometimes he can hardly get out of bed in the morning, and sometimes he cannot sleep. I male remembered your ability in taking care of all sorts of musculer ailments, and hope | am not presuming too much in asking if it would be possible to at least look at the man. Mrs. Pearce said she and her husbend would be glad to come up any evening or Sunday if you would. If you wonder how I happen to know you, I graduated from K.
