_ Dear Don:

I fouled out on you on the letter regarding Barl lrice.
Mr. Quigley had been following up on the boys who were future
prospects and with his aid we write the seniors. Mr. Quigley
has an idea that if we start too early with these boys that —
many of them will get too self-conscious and he likes to handle
those things in his own way. Of course, I am highly agreeabad
to working with him according to his plan. However, I can see
the great value in a boy receiving a letter from a coach--
the coach complimenting him‘on his fine work and keeping in
touch in a friendly way with his efforts. —

I am writing Earl lrice and sending you a carbon copy
of my letter. I want you to know how wery much I appreciate |
your university lovalty; expecially when you go tothe oxtemt
of checking up again on tardy correspondence by coaches.

We certainly would be delighted to have Marl Price here at
_the University. The method that you are working «mn him is
most commendable. The way you describe this boy I certainly
know he is a dandy.
