February 26, 1945. Capt. H. L. Kirkpatrick, M. C., Station Hospital, | Familton Pield, California. Dear Dr. Kirkpatrick: I was mighty happy to have your letter saying that you enjoyed the Rebounds. I wish you might have been here to see some of our - basketball games. The kids are not terribly hot, but we have been able to limp along to a near tie. If Kansas State beats Iowa State tonight at Manhattan, we will get at least a tie for it, but if — Louie Menze's boys beat the Aggie cousins I am afraid we will be in for a tough time at Ames on Priday night, Maroh 2nd. They are liable to lick us up there because we do not have a finished ball club, and Iowa State is tougher than a cowpuncher's boot, on their own floor. We are making the change of your address to Station Hospital, Hamilton Field, California. I am hoping to write another Rebounds this week so you should have it before too long. It is always good to hear, from you, and I assure you that we will be looking forward to the time when you are back with us. With all good wishes, I am e Sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education, PCA:AH Varsity Basketball Coach.
