Dear Dr. Allen:

You'll probably be surprised to hear from
me - it has been almost four years since we
left K.U. and came here.

I am in the sales and promotion department
here and enjoying the work very much. We are
doing a lot of war contract work at present,
and keeping more than busy.

Wheat I really am writing about is where can I
get a copy of your book, "Better Basketball,"
and what is the price. Son John, whom you

will no doubt remember, has been playing on the
local high school basketball team as center. He
is 6 foot 1% inches in height and weighs 165.
That's more "Man" than his Dad. He will be

1é years 01d in June and will, of course go into
the service. We asked him the other day what he
wanted in the way of a gift, and he said he wanted
a copy of Coach Allen's book. You have always
been his ideal when it comes to basketball.

If possible, could we secure the book from you
and have you autograph it for him. That would
please him immensely.

We have many fond memories of our years spent
at K.U. and our many friends.
