Dear Pfog:

I was really pleased with your letter to lir. Dewell because you put
the thing just exactly the wey I felt it should be put. In fact, once
or twice I said the same thing to parents, myself, although perhaps I
was not quite so polished and did not use the delicate finesse that
you used in telling him he was selling his boy out to the highest bid-
der, and making a gladiator out of him.

I am sorry, of course, to lose a good athlete, but if they can't iron
out things for a boy who was being tsken care of like he was, in other
words, if they expect more than that, it is just too bad. Anyway, l
can't get real excited right now with this bigger job we have on our

handse

I hed a letter from Clint written January 351 after they hed completed
their drive up the island, and he has been through some terrific times,

I will tell you about it the first time I see you.
