PH! KAPPA PSI Portis, Kansas May 24, 1943 Dear Doe, I have your letter of May 14 saving that the gold basketballs had been ordered. When they arrive I wish that you would send my ball to Miss Marcile Peterson, of 116 North F. St., Wellington, Kansas. I wear the gold basketball which we won last year constantly and I am just as proud of it as any of my college memories, I have been at home now since I finished my exams. I am waiting for my orders to the Navy air corps and I expect to get them sometime during the first vart of June, I will probably be sent first to Mt. Vernon, Iowa. I hope that where ever 1 am stationed next winter I will be able to ovlav basketball. I certainly do have some fine memories of games and trips we have taken the past two years. I just hove my competition the next two years could be as pleasant, but it probably won't be. Doe I want to thank you for everything you did for me while I was at Lawrence. You were swell and I really did anpreciate it. I consider it an honor to heve vlayed under you and I always will. I only wish I might have helned a little more along the basketball line. Thanks again and I'll dron vou a line every so often after I am stationed in the service. If I set the chance I will drop in to see vou before I leave. Sincerely:
