dune 17, 1943. Miss Ruth Krehbiel, Corbin Hall, Lewrence, Kansas. Dear Ruth: I wish to congratulate you and your co-workers on the very splendid entertainment and informative dramatization that you gave to the new students and to us at convocation this morning. This sort of informtion should be given to every one of our new students each fall. I am wondering if you and Charles Love and some of your co- workers are not the ones to sell the administration on such a very necessary and constructive bit of informtion for ow future stud- ents. There are many faculty members who heard the discourse this morning that are much better informed about the traditions of Kansas. This is badly needed for our students and faculty, and I. hope that you can prevail on the administration to promote such a thing. There is another suggestion that I have. When they have a convocation they sing the Crimson and The Blue, but they never have the cheerleaders to lead the Rock Chalk yell, which the students so much enjoy. ee splendid tradition? oe ee ee ee ee enthusiastic appreciation of their fine work. — Again congratulating you on your initiative, I aia Very sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education, FCA:AH Varsity Basketball Coach.
