Lawrence, Kansas Dear "Doc": I received your letter a few days back and I am sorry that I haven't answered it sooner. I was a little slow in setting started with my correspondence course but now I am under way and I am getting slong rine, am sure that I will have it complete by Sept. first. I am playing ball just about every night during the week and with golf on Saturday afternoons I am kept vretty busy as well as in fair condition. I am playing with two different ball clubs along with Ralph Miller and four other K. U. boys. We are entered in the state tournament which starts Wednesday night and we drew the number one ceféded team and last years champions the first crack. It is a double elimination tourney so we can still lose one game and so to the finals, I keep correspondence with Ray Evans and he seems to -be getting along fine. He said he had a chance to practice with the Kansas Gity Blues. Well I had better sign off and get some sleep. 12 keep you posted on how I am gettins along. Sincerely yours Wis. Max Kissell
