Allen, Basketball Coach, University of Kansas, Lawrence, Kansase Dear Coach: I thought we might work up a little interview before our same if you aren't too darned busy. How would this angle strike you? You are the dean of all bas- ketball coaches in America and know the came wrongsideout from foreword to index yet I wonder if even as famous potnority as yourself ever gets too old to learn? In other words are there three or four things about basketball that you have picked up or learned within the last two or three years that you didn't know béfore? If so, can you reproduce the incident, being sure to name the team, year, and players involved? Per- haps the experience resulted disasterously to Kansas, or maybe you were able to catch it in time and save the situation. If you see any meat in this idea I think it would not only make a fine feature but would be a great inspiration to young coaches, most of whom make so many mistakes nowadays. This doesn't have to be too long since I kmow you are extremely busy e With best wishes I am, Sincerely yours, Harold Keith, Director Sports Publicity HK:djk
