Allen Manager, N.C.A.A. Basketball Tour. Municipal Auditorium Kansas City, Mo. Dear Mr. Allen: Although several recent hasketball rules! changes have macdeussedty benefitted the game, I feel that due to the increased interest in basketball and tke improved rules, these rules should not be changed. The only change ! would like to see made is in the backboard, diminishing the size and using the con- vex steel type. Basketball at the University of Maine, as well as in all of New England, has greatly increased. The attendance at our home games this year has averaged <,000 and several games were sell-outs necessitating us to turn away hundreds. This speaks well for the type of game played so why make changes in the rules that might lessen this interest? Sincerely yours, Wme C. Kenyon Coach of Basketball WC: LN
