Dear Sirs

As KFJM's Sports Reporter, I have stumbled onto an
argument which seems to find no conclusive answer,

Here is the question: in basketball, does a team
shoot at its owm basket or defend its own basket,
in other words, for broadcast purposes does a
team attempt to score in its own basket or in
its opponents! basket?

We have fan letters here quoting encyclopedias,
dictionaries, and rule books and still the score
is about tied, without conclusive proof on either
side. We would welcome having your answer as to
which you believe it is, and why you think so,

We will appreciate your help in deciding this
question which everyone seems to have taken for

granted.
