T. MARKHAM SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION RAY D. HODGELL LOUIE LESSLIE ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDENT SECRETARY STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION TOPEKA January 28, 1938 Hon. Forrest C. Allen Director of Physical Education University of Kansas ‘Lawrence, Kansas Dear Mr. Allen: Under separate cover I am sending to you a copy of our Kansas Educational Directory in which you will find listed all of the class A high schools to- gether with all other high schools. The regulation of the State Board of Educa~ tion governing the requirement for health education of the physical training teachers throughout the state applies only to class A high schools. Since this regu- lation has been in effect only for the present school year we have no data which would indicate the extent to which the regulation is being complied with. Therefore any information which you may gather by way of a questionnaire will be of real interest to this department in our effort to raise the qualifica- tions of these teachers in this particular field. I shall be pleased to have a copy of your findings. Ve y your St Me WIM S State Superintendent OFFICE PHONE 2-0370 RESIDENCE PHONE 2-O175 eanes orate Hien Senoo, ACTIVITIES ASSOCIATION E.A.
