I imagine the falis and winters come earlier in Manchester
than they do in Lawrence, Kansag. We are having fine Indien summer
weather with nippy nights but it warms up during the day and is delight-
ful. I can imagine with winter coming on that a Kansan would get a
little homesick.

We would be doLignted to have vou and Dr. Mason visit us but
it is a —_ trek.

Thanks for your gocd wishes regarding the basketball team. We
will need all the good wishes because we have a very young and inexper-
ienced team. Bob Malott who 4s 16 years of age, and the Chancellor's
son, will be one of the varsity, s0 you can see that we are going in for
youth in a big ways Ye are not taking any trips at all this = outside
of our Big Six Conference.

T am sending you the fifth edition of our Jayhawk Rebounds and
we Will put you and Dr. Mason on the mailing list. I write a letter to
the boys in the service every month, and this is the fifth one, as you
see. We put on the scoreboard the resulta of cach ef our games that we
played last year, end when we go forward this year we will have the scores
of the games as we play them.
