Dear Doc,

It was certainly great to learn a few weeks ago that
you will be here in town March 4 to address our local
Boosters Clube And perhaps it will be somewhat of a
surprise to you to hear that I am in this burgh doing
some scribbling on the local sheet.

As I recall this is the first time I have written you
since my graduation from Ohio University a few years
packe It seems centuries since I was out there at

KU with you and Gwinn Henry, Bobby and all the rest

of the swell Jayhawks.

I am looking forward to seeing you on your visit here,
and if you don't reserve a couple of seconds for a lit-
tle tete-a-tete to let me catch up on what has been
transpiring since I left olet Mt. Oreade I suppose the
campus is gleaming again after discarding the shrouds
of the war years, and I suppose it will mean another
great year for the school as the boys return to take

up their interrupted studies. I'm only sorry that I

was never able to finish out theres

Let me here from you before I see you in about three
weeks to let me know how long you plan to stay in town.
I told my dad you are coming, and if it is at all pos-
sible, he will drive over from Columbus to hear your

talke
