Dear Japs

| i am wondering if it would be possible for Tansas to play
Oklahoma at Norman on April 17 and 18 I see that you are playing
Texas at Austin on the 14th and 15th.

, I dislike very much to be away from our Relay games which
are on April 18 and 19. I did not know that I was to take baseball
and I made arrangements to be here on the morning and the day of the
19th, which is the day of our Kansas Relayse This will be on Thursday
and Friday instead of Friday and Saturdays

Jap, I would appreciate this change very much if you could
make ite In fact I would almost do anything for you if you would play
‘the 16th and 17th but I imgine thet is asking entirely too muche

However, when you look at our baseball talent returning, you
will realize that you could take your second team and just have batting
practice and still be way ahead of use Miller Cameron can perhaps
tell you what we have returnings Monte Murkle, the catcher last year,
is not playing this year because he is saving hie one year of eligibility
for football. Jack Sands, our first baseman, graduated, as did all the
rest of our infielderss end Red Dugan, Henry Norak and the other pitchers
are not playing except Kresiee larry llensley signed up with Detroit and he
did not returne larry was our center fielder and the best experienced boy
in the ball clube So Kresie is the only boy that we have fran the
— and we have but five, counting substitutes, out of e squad of

Miller Cemeron left school and went to Oklahoma because he wanted
to play at an institution where baseball was encouraged, and our other basee

ball talent has Grifted awmy in like fashion, so we are starting at the bottane
