Mary called up from Palo Alito night before last. ‘She is sending Lee (Sonny) to Culver Military Academy, in the Black Horse Troop, and we expect him in Friday | morning at 7:30 enroute to Culver. He will stop in Chicago to visit with Jane, who is married to an ensign flyer. He is expecting his combat call _ now in about two or three months. He finished at Pensacola and is now teashing at one of the Chicago flying schools. Sthel, who is Mrs. Hughes, Mre. Allen's sister, will have two boys going to Culver this simmer. ‘There will be quite a gang of youmgsters up there end I guess they will have a good tine. . Bobby is leaving for Pennsylvania this Saturday. He has been home on a two-weeks vacation and he is enjoying it. He was with us in the east last winter when we were playing there, and enjoyed his visit with us. This is his second time home in a year, the other time being a quick flying trip in April. Bob and I have been playing golf every day that the weather will permit, and I might say it would take a torrential downpour to break up this golf match. : Milton is assistant to the chief investigator at the Her- cules Powder Company, east of town. He is now in Philadelphia visiting another plant. He is especially happy and has a good job, but this father's call has got him pretty anxious although at the present time I _ think there is some easement from it. te as | - Bleanor will get married the latter part of September to a University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and Law graduate.
