Dr. Forrest C. Allen, Director of Physical Education

and Recreation, and Varsity Baskééball and Baseball

Athletics for eighteen years. In 1905, he was manager
and member of the “ansas City Athletic Club National
Cha.apiomship Basketball Team, (At that time, this was
called the K.C.A.C. World's “hampionship Basketball

Team, because the K.C.A.C. beat the Buffalo German Y.M.C.A.
team which won the OClympié title at both the Pan American
and the St. Louis World's Fair), 1808-9 Coach of the
University of Kansas Basketball Teem (winning Missouri
Valley Championship) both years; also coached Haskell
Indians in 1908-9, From 1920 to the present time, has
coached Varsity basketball at the University of Kansas,

He has won seventeen championships in twenty four years;
twenty four championships in thirty one years of coaching.

Doctor Allen is the founder of the Kansas

(Past President for two years).

He has been a member of the Basketball Rules Body for thirteen
years. He is the author of "Basketball Bible", "Better
Basketball", and a chapter entitled "Administration and Organ-
ization" in the book “Higher Education ix America", by Ment,
He has written numerous articles for outstanding magazines

and for seven years wrote syndicated anticles for the Associated

Press in New York.
