. Your very good special delivery letter of August
29th came to we carly thig morning. I immediately got in
touch with the dean’s office in the School of Business, but
the dean had left for the mornings ae

. However, I talked to his secretary, then cheoked
up with the College office and find thet Martha Jean has more
than ample hours of credit end grade points to be admitted to_
the business and secretarial training course at the University
of Kensas. Only 50 hours and 60 grade points ere needed, and
it is not necessary for the deans to effix their signetures
in a trenefer of this nature because of the lerge ebundance
of credit hours end grade points in favor of Martha Jeane

I have asked that the dean's office write you
giving you double assurance, but you can take this as authentic
because I went tc headquarters amd checked end double checked —
so ag to be definitely certain of my grounds

I do hope thet Martha Jean will be with ue this
fall. I heve every reagon to believe that the University will
go very strongly into this new etal training course,

+ larger opportumities will offer for a
graduate of this school then the other places. Por that reason
we will welcome Martha Jean back, and by heving her back we
kmow thet we will have you and Dr. Jessom with us many more
times than if she enrolled in Wichite.
