Dear Doc:

I have your letter of November 17th, but have
not had an opportunity to see what can be done. I shall do
so very shortly and will let you hear from me.

It was nice to have a letter from you. I am
still hoping that we can have a good visit soon. I have been
in Lawrence but a few times in the past year and then only
for some specific purpose, and this did not give me much time
for anything else.

I know you will have a successful basketball
season, and you know that I will be, as ever, one of your
strongest supporters.
