Allen. ON AA ee ee ee Director of Physical Education University of Kansas Lewrence Kansas. Dear Dr. Allen: Once before you were kind enough to give me good advice, that time for the tre at- ment of and prevention of boils. Please accept my thanks. SO once again I am imposing upon your willingness to help. In your book,"My Bask- etbali Bible",a part of which I yse freely, you guote from Moullin's "Manipulation and Massage”,and I am much interested in what he has to sayaand would like very much to obtain a copy of his book. Could you tell me wherento try for it? I would like to learn something of the technique of manipulation for minor mech- anical injuries but unfortunate all the books I have tried deal with ohiy the ver- ious diseases, In a catilog from Zoe Johnson Co. they offer a text,"Osteevathic Principles In Disease, Including Detail Foot Technic,” by Carter Harrison Downing,M.D.D.0O. Are you familiar with this text and would you recommend it for my purpose. The book is rather costly and if it would be of little benefit to me,I would hardly care to purchase it. I greatly value yoyr opinion on the subject of Osteopathy as related to athietic training. I am very happy to se you get your team to working. I suppose that you have a young team and that it takes time to get them going. Nothing can take the place of experience. You ssemed to have set Missouri back on their heels in the only game that really counts for them. Good luck, to you for the next time that you pley them. We played Phillips 66,team and I had a very pleasent chat with Ebling and Praile They are both find boys and I enjoyed seeing them again. With the warmest regar¢cs and best wishes for your continufed success,I am, Sincerely [ferberp- I. Herbert L. Johns Athletic Trainé
