July 17, 1944. Mrs yle Te Quinn, Towa. High School Athletic Association, Boone, Iowme Dear Lyles Following ap my letter of May 4th, I am wondering if you want to make something out of publicizing the invitation to athletes who have bad knees or ankles, so-called permanent injuries that Se ee ee oe college experiences. I would be glad if you would have a standing invitation to eny of those injured athletes to come to om’ clinic. I believe we could do a pretty good job with some of them, and it always serves as @ magnet when you fix up of incurable by the regular physicians. I have such cases constantly _ and many of the boys are put back in tip-top shape with a few treat- mentse a 7 | I find that this stimulates the learning on the part coaches, when they see how simple it is and they get greater confidence. What I want to coaches is to take care of athletic injuries, and by fixing up some of these cripples it is an easier task to stimulate that interest. I am wondering what you think of the idea. With all good wishes, I an Sincerely yours, - Diveetor of Physical Education, PCA:AH Varsity Basketball Coach.
