Allen Director of Physical Education University of Kansas Lawrence, Kansas Dear Phog: I am hastening to let you know that your letter of the 4th and the package containing your book entitled BETTER BASKETBALL arrived last Saturday. I am delighted with the book and greatly appreciate the friendliness of the auto- graph. This morning Martin, now seven and a half, woke me up at 6:50 to have me read all about the bandages. Apparently he has been studying the book with great care and is looking forward to a chance to see a real basketball game. I only wish that I could initiate him into this sport by letting him see one of your teams play Nebraska or Missouri. Your report on Allen Wilbur and Alfred Hill came as a surprise to me. I had been looking for Alfred Hill in New York during the past week and I sincerely hope that he did not pay his visit here during my recent absence. I always look forward to a good visit with him.
