DEPAUL - LOYOLA INTERCOLLEGIATE —— BASKETBALL DOUBLE-HEADERS Dr. Forrest B. Allen Basketball Coach Kansas University Lawrence Kansas Dear Doctor: I have just had a long eonference with Len Sachs, coach of Loyola University and he has asked me to communicate with you regarding a very serious problem with which we are confronted, in the hopes that you will be able to help us out in the matter. I feel that in discussing this with you very frankly, we will be able to obtain your assistance, as you have always been more than cooperative and courteous in the field of athletics. DePaul University and Bradley University are both scheduled to meet their res-— pective opponents in New York on January 24. They were scheduled to meet each other in Chicago on Jamuary 15 on the same night that Loyola plays Duquesne. DePaul and Bradley were advised by Mr. Irish that the Madison Square Gardens would be unavailable for basketball on the 24th, and consequently, the only open date remaining would be January 15, the date that they are scheduled to play each other_in Chicago. Both DePaul and Bradley sought our cooperation in changing the January 15 game so as to permit them to make this trip to New York. In an effort to be cooperative with everyone concerned, I agreed to do so, providing ANAS ORS however, that by reason thereof, no HON. JUDGE JOHN A. SBARBARO inconvenience should be caused to Duquesne who was also scheduled to play on January 15 THOMAS HAGGERTY....... DePaul ee eee loys 2M Chicago.
