Dear Dr. Allen:

 
 

As you know, for some time we have been trying to secure
two #N288 Turf Bowlingsets for you but have never been able to
get delivery on them from the factory. We have just learned
that there will be none of these sets available. The factory
has written us that the government has stopped all production

' on these setas as they use materials essential to the war ef=

fort, and therefore, will not be able to complete any orders.

We are certainly sorry to have taken so long to get this
information. May we suggest that if you planned on using the
Turf Bowling set indoors that you consider the Rob-o-ling set
which is listed in our new catalogue just off the press. You
probably have a copy of it by now but if it did not reach you
it should within the next day or two for they were mailed out
this week. This set is shown on page 105. It consists of

10 official maple pins, 2 walnut skulls with button skids.

Its price is wholesale $19.85. Also ideal for indoor use is
#N286 bowling set. This set consists of ten molded sponge
rubber pins and three sponge rubber balls. It can also be used
outdoors very satisfactorily. If you find that either of these
would be all right for your use, we could make immediate deliv-
