Dear Phog:

Please accept my expression of appreciation for
your kindness to me in connection with the Oklahoma game last
Friday night. It was a treat to me to really get back into the
College atmosphere for which I am greatly indebted to you.

Your boys didn't quit for a minute. It was just
a case of cycle occurrance wherein one team can't miss and the
other team isn't quite up to its usual par. It would be hard for
a team to remain 100% on par when the latter is as high as in the case
of your squad.

The thing that impressed me most was the fine bunch
of boys which you have, evidenced in a large measure through your
