as a man and as one of America's leading basketball coaches.
There will be a vacancy here in the Department of Basketball,
this year, and I would appreciate any recommendations you
might be prompted to make. |

I have felt, too, that you might be justified
in placing your protege, "Dutch" Lonberg of Northwestern,
high on your list of coaches, whom you have developed; also,
Bunn, your former assistant, who went to Stamford, following
which he was appointed Dean of Men.

You may have many more of their calibre, but I
do know that sound, potential and successful basketball coaches
are rare.

Would appreciate hearing from you and will
express our appreciation for your attention to this confiden-
