Some few days ago I received your nice

letter in regard to Bill Haynes and just a day
or two before your letter came, he came up to
: 7 me and ask me if he could try out for basketball
and I. told him I would be glad to have him come.
out. I am glad to hear that he is such a fine
student. I certainly appreciate your information
in regard to him and assure you that he will be
given every opportunity to make the team.

At the present time we have a a basket—
ball players that are of a pretty good quality
but how long they will be here no one can tell.

Most of them at the present time are in the V-12
E : program here. We have been kept busy in our
department with the physical fitness program for.

: | Pay with whe help of some Naval officers.
