April 22, 1942. Coach Chet Lemon, Zola, Kansas. Dear Coach Lemon: I acknowledge receipt of your letter, together with the X-ray picture of Dr. Lacey's son's knee. Won't you kindly write ma dnd give me a history of the injury = how long it has been, and just how the boy is affected? : , I am not sure that the lump below the knee is altogether significant. If the joint is involved it may be ligamentous, not bony. If the boy runs no temperature I do not believe this large growth is wholly significent. There is no charge for anything that I may do for the boy, and if, after I get a history of the case, Dr. Lacey would like to send the boy up for me to look at, I would be happy to do so with no charge. Sincerely yours, Director of Physical Education end Recreation, PCA:AH Varsity Basketball and Baseball Coach.
