Dear Forrest:

Thanks for your nice letter of December 26, with an ex-
pression of sympathy for my daughter who has been afflicted with
tuberculosis for a little over two years. This last summer we sent
her to the Norton Sanatorium and while there she had a pneumolysis
operation which is a severing of adhesions of the lungs to the ribs.
I believe this operation has helped her. She is: now back home, and
with her mother's care we have high hopes that she will eventually
win the battle for good health.

Her husband is Cecil Peterson, a young basket ball official
whom you may know. Right here I believe is a good opportunity to put
in a "plug" for him, as I honestly believe he is one of the coming
young officials who will step up into Big Six officiating in the next
year or soe If his name appears before you for consideration, I will
personally appreciate anything you can do to help his advancement.

This season he has 15 assignments in the Central and
Kansas Conferences, as well as a number of high school games. The
early part of December he was one of the officials for the Kansas State-
Doane College game at Manhattan.
