Dear Phog:

Last season, at our convention, I happened to
be appointed Chairman of the Naismuth Memorial Committee.
This committee has met and as the result of these meetings
have several sculptors working on various types of memorial.
We are, however, at a loss for the want of a good picture
or mask of the old gentleman.

I am wondering if you would allow us to have
the mask you have in your possession, so that we can carry
on this work. The committee will assure you of its safe
return.

If impossible to concede us this, could you
have photographs taken of the mask - front and side - views,
and send them to us.
